Prayer from Ezekiel 11:19-20

And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them; I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my ordinances and obey them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. —Ezekiel 11:19-20

God, as I read the frightening prophecy against the unfaithful people of Ezekiel’s time, I am reminded how important it is that I stay in your will. I am so grateful for this bright moment of grace that is expressed in this section. It reminds me that you want me to live for you and you want to be my God. I desire to have the heart of flesh, the responsive and seeking heart that will keep me focused upon you always. Keep me safe in your arms, Father. Amen.
