But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. —Philippians 3:20-21, NLT
God, in times of war, polarization, expressions of hate, and injustice, I long for the time when all will be made new again. I count it a blessing to live in the part of the world that I do, but my loyalty remains to you above all. No matter what happens on this earth, I await the return of the Savior. Even when I face my own personal struggles and when health declines, I have faith that you will take what is frail and failing and turn it into something glorious that honors you! Using the same power, Lord, bring it all under your control. Amen.
How can remembering that you are a “citizen of heaven” help you make it through difficult days?

Eagerly waiting! That’s me! Great encouragement and I love the song -so full of truth and a reminder of who we are in Christ. Thanks!
