I began posting at The Holy Lens on January 1, 2024. Over the year and a half there have been two books published from posts, almost 15 contributing writers, and journeys through several books of the Bible. I have not paid close attention to the number of subscribers or made great efforts to accumulate a large audience. Even so, we are just under 300 subscribers (thank you!).
I’m so excited to offer A Holy Lens: 101 Passages, Prayers, and Prompts Focused on the Word of God, which includes posts from thirteen prayerful participants in this newsletter. This guide to prayer will be a blessing to you and I hope you will not only enjoy it yourself, you’ll give it as gifts to prayerful friends.
If you are like me, you are subscribed to more newsletters than you can possibly read. But I remain subscribed because some days I can read more than others. Sometimes someone writes about something that I really need that day. Some writers I read every time they post. So, whichever category you fit into here, I’m glad you’re here.
Moving forward, I will do most of my writing at Hope Remains (what I consider my ‘main’ newsletter). There will not be a post every day, but hopefully each post will be interesting and encouraging. I will continue to offer the Sunday Night Check-In there as well as some devotional writings with prayers, photography (such as Black Bayou lake below and the Northern Cardinal above), and it wouldn’t be surprising to see guest posts from time to time! I have many writing friends!
Tomorrow, please watch for a post with links to access the newsletters and writings of the Holy Lens contributors! Each one of them is truly gifted and has so much to offer.
Pray for me as I find a pattern of writing and posting that also accommodates the things I need to be doing in person for myself, my family, and my church. My next book is well under way and will be advertised when it is ready!
Thanks again for being an active reader, subscriber, and sharer! Have a great Independence Day holiday!
Congrats John! And that's an amazing book cover!
Thanks John. You do great work for the Lord
